Setting sail for the disco! Justin Bieber rocks out as he shows his dance moves off on a boat

Good times: Justin Bieber posted a video on Sunday in which he danced on the back of a boat
Justin Bieber is a multi-faceted young man these days.

On Sunday, the 21-year-old Baby singer shared a pair of Instagram posts with very different themes.

While Justin showed off some crazy dance moves in a video, he also experienced stillness in a photo with a tree.

The dancing video was by far the more notable of the two posts, published without comment and featuring Justin getting down with his funky self on a boat.

While the water sparkled in the background, Justin bounced back and forth in time to the instrumental music.

He wore a knit ski cap, a T-shirt, and a pair of tight-fitting trousers for the possibly impromptu dance break.
Somber times: At about the same time, the 21-year-old singer posted a photo in which he stood next to a tree

At the end of the dance, Justin approached the camera for a howl.

Justin went for a much quieter feel in his other Sunday post, this one featuring a photo of a massive tree and the singer.

The tree provided a solid background as Justin - wearing a similar outfit to his boating clothes, simply adding a short-sleeved jacket to the ensemble - stared moodily at the grass.
Wild moves: With instrumental music playing, Justin bounced all over the deck
Dancing with himself: Someone may have been filming the performance, but Justin was the only dancer

Casual look: Justin wore a ski hat with a T-shirt and tight-fitting trousers

No fear: The context of the photo was not given, but Justin did not seem to be worried about others noticing him

Unguarded: Unlike many images of Justin taken in formal settings, the wild dance might have been closer to the real young man Unguarded: Unlike many images of Justin taken in formal settings, the wild dance might have been closer to the real young man

Sharer: The Baby singer often posts both candid and posed images to social media
He's got moves: Much like on the previous Sunday - when Justin performed at the VMAs - the singer showed considerable skill with his footwork He's got moves: Much like on the previous Sunday - when Justin performed at the VMAs - the singer showed considerable skill with his footwork
Big finale: At the end of the video, Justin stopped dancing and approached the camera
Wild one: For reasons that perhaps only he knew, Justin completed his show with a howl

Photos featuring Justin contemplating the inherent flatness of the ground have recently been a common feature of the singer's Instagram feed.

On Wednesday, one such photo saw Justin staring down from a ladder attached to an industrial building.

'We all fly,' read the philosophical caption.
Looking down: Like his tree photo on Sunday, Justin has been known to frequently post shots in which he stares downward with great gravity
Other photos in the downward-facing pose included a photo taken in front of a dirty wall on Friday and one in front of a white wall in the previous week.

Trees have also been an object of photographic affection for Justin, who was seen sitting high in the branches of one in on Wednesday.
Tree hugger: Another photo from the same week also featured a large tree - Justin had climbed this one
Photos and boat-dancing aside, this has been a busy week for the pop star, who performed his newest single, What Do You Mean?, at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Justin ended the performance in tears, overcome with emotion at the positive response he got.

A video for the tune followed on Wednesday, in advance of the November 13 release of Justin's fourth studio album.
Emotional: His performance of What Do You Mean? at the MTV Video Music Awards reduced Justin to tears

Big week: On Wednesday, Justin followed up by releasing the video for the top-selling single
