Andy Murray sinks £6million into his Cromlix House Hotel

ANDY Murray has ploughed £6million of his fortune into his hotel.

The World No3 bought Cromlix House near his hometown of Dunblane for £1.8million in 2013.

He has spent ­millions more refurbishing the hotel – where Andy and wife Kim held their wedding ­reception in April.

Company accounts out on Friday show £2,465,058 was spent on the hotel last year, on top of £3,440,678 the previous year.

The £2.4million is described as “directly ­attributable expenditure incurred in the refurbishment of Cromlix House Hotel and the ­purchase of land and ­properties The Square, which is adjacent to the hotel”. The business ended the year £149,708 in the red.

Andy, 28, reopened the 15-bedroom hotel, which has 35 acres of grounds, in April 2014.
