The former Barcelona goalkeeper, 33, has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and has yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils this season.
And his representative, Gines Carvajal, has admitted the veteran stopper is keen on a move to another Premier League club.
"We are relying on Manchester United letting Victor go," Carvajal told Sport.
"The Premier League is very attractive and Valdes want to stay because he has adapted perfectly to England.
"But we are not closing the door to any options.
"There are still two months until the transfer window opens and there is nothing concrete, but the intention is to leave Manchester United."
Meanwhile, Leicester chief Claudio Ranieri has told Liverpool and Arsenal to forget about signing Jamie Vardy or Riyad Mahrez.
Goal quote the Italian as saying: "Nobody goes in January. Not Riyad [Mahrez], not him, not [Jeffrey] Schlupp, nobody.
"We don't sell him [Vardy], he's very happy here and it's too early to speak about it.
"I hope he can continue to grow again. If he can continue this way it would be fantastic.
"We are waiting for the bigger clubs, but this is only speculation."
And finally, Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola will try to lure John Terry away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
The former England international, 34, is out of contract at the end of the season.
And according to the Daily Mirror, Zola - will try lure the Blues captain to the Middle East to play for Qatari side Al-Arabi.
