Arsenal have reportedly opened talks over the signing of Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu, though his club don’t want to sell.

The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe and the Gunners are joining other top teams in pursuing his signature.

Calhanoglu would be an ideal long-term replacement for Mikel Arteta.

In the other direction, Arsenal could also make one or two sales this summer, with David Ospina looking likely to move after losing his place.

The Colombian goalkeeper is being linked with Besiktas after seeing Petr Cech take the number one spot in Arsene Wenger’s side this season.

Ospina performed well when given the chance last year and it is little surprise to see a long list of clubs looking at his situation.
