In respect to Senator Andy Uba's denial of money laundering and arrest, a publication has surfaced with the true culprit of the crime.
It is reported that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra South senatorial candidate, Chris Uba was allegedly arrested for being in possession of the sum of $2.5 million dollars.
The report revealed that Chris was arrested on his way to Anambra state from Lagos and he spent a night in a police cell in Lagos before being taken to Abuja in handcuffs by men from DSS.
In the bid to debunk the fake arrest news, his elder brother Senator Andy Uba who was earlier accused of being arrested instead of his younger brother Chris addressed newsmen in his Campaign office in Awka, Anambra State.
Senator Uba while addressing newsmen described the fake news of his arrest as a mischievous and malicious act purported by his political detractors with the aim to mislead the general public and his supporters.
Sen Uba called on DSS to clear the air by informing the general public of the true identity of who they arrested.
He said “as you can see l am in my office holding political meetings on how to deliver my party in a landslide Victory in Anambra State. If truly l was arrested l won’t be here speaking with Journalists. DSS should reveal the true identity of who they arrested”
He also said his supporters should ignore such fake news and concentrate on how to win the February 23 general election.
