Three army personnel have been killed when a Turkish military cargo plane crashed in southwestern Turkey.
The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) said in a statement that the plane was on a training flight when it crashed near Egirdir Lake in Isparta province on Wednesday.
According to the Turkish military, two pilots and a technician were on board and all three were killed in the incident.
The statement said communication with the the CN-235 CASA plane was lost around 0950 GMT after taking off from Eskisehir air base in central Turkey.
The TSK also offered condolences to the families of "our heroic comrades" who were killed "as a result of a tragic accident."
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear but local governor Sehmus Gunaydin said there was dense and thick fog in the region.
The military said several emergency teams were dispatched to the crash site.
In December last year, a Turkish warplane crashed close to an airport in the city of Diyarbakir in southeastern Turkey but the pilot survived after he had safely ejected from the fighter jet.
