Wilfred Ndidi, Musa Mohammed and Victor Osimhen are set to make their official debuts for the Super Eagles today against Tanzania.
Genk defensive midfielder Ndidi has already won three caps for the Eagles, but they were all in friendlies against DR Congo, Cameroon and Luxembourg.
The 19-year-old ex-Nath Boys of Lagos star was outstanding in the Eagles test game against Akwa United on Wednesday and he is now expected to come off the bench at some point in the Tanzania match.
Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles skipper Musa Mohammed has also played twice at full international level in friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg in May and he is now likely to start at right back for the Eagles today.
Youngster Victor Osimhen was a surprise call-up by new Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for today’s match after he emerged as MVP of FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile last year.
The Wolfsburg-bound striker has already earned accolades from his older and more experienced national teammates.
He looks set to come off the bench of a squad that boost of an intimidating firepower – Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Brown Ideye and Kelechi Iheanacho.
