New revelations have emerged as to how the Governor of Kogi state,
Yahaya Bello, applied for a loan of $12m from a bank so as to purchase
109 vehicles.
This allegation was made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as this ic coming at a time when the state government is alleged to be owing civil servants.
The allegation was contained in a statement by the party’s Director of New Media, Deji Adeyanju, on Monday.
Adeyanju, who took to his twitter handle @adeyanjudeji said “Of all the problems in Kogi State, buying $12m cars for Yahaya Bello is the most important thing.”
He also revealed a letter signed by the state Commissioner of Finance, Asiwaju Asiru Idris, which registered the government’s interest to take delivery of the vehicles.
