A pastor in Benin, Apostle Ikenna Okafor, was caught yesterday, Sunday, December 27, reportedly burying charms inside his church premises.
According to NAN, the pastor was being watched at about 2am on Saturday night, burying a live animal in the premises of his church.
An eye witness, Chinedu Nnamdi, said his father woke him up to watch from afar what the pastor was doing in his church. According to him, the pastor buried something in front of the church and later performed a little ritual by walking round the church several times.
Angry residents stormed the church which is located along Esigie street, and they were about to lynch the pastor before police took him away.
Confirming the report, the Edo police spokesman, DSP Osifo Abiodun, said the suspect was under investigation.
The spokesman explained that the suspect had made useful statements that will assist the police in their investigation.

The pastor got several tongues wagging and eyes popping when he decided to bless his church members with condoms, which he called ‘holy condoms’ during a church service.
