Hundreds of logging trucks have made their way from across British Columbia to Vancouver city center to protest job losses in the forestry industry.
Footage shows the arrival of a convoy of logging trucks driving past the Vancouver Convention Center where municipal and provincial leaders were attending the Union of B.C. Municipalities convention.
The convoy reportedly reached the Metro Vancouver area and drove into the city’s downtown core, interrupting traffic as rush hour began.
Reports say job losses in the forestry industry throughout 2019 was due to the closure of dozens of mills across British Columbia.
