It is about oil that President Donald Trump of the United States has officially recognized Israeli "sovereignty" over the occupied Golan Heights, says a commentator.
In an interview with Press TV on Wednesday, John Steppling, author and commentator, said that “massive oil was discovered in the Golan Heights and the discovery was made by an American-Israeli firm.”
“What we are seeing with Trump making this kind of absurd totally illegal signing is that this is really about a global ruling class, it’s about capital.”
The analyst warned that Israel is never going to give back the occupied land and the oil reserve gives the Israelis another excuse to continue occupation of the Syrian territory.
