Sunderland are in talks with Adnan Januzaj over a potential loan move from Manchester United, the Mirror has reported.
The winger started just seven games in all competitions last season for United, and with the signing of Memphis Depay and the expected arrival of Pedro from Barcelona - Januzaj can expect to find himself further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
The Sunderland Echo are reporting that 'productive discussions between the two clubs' have already taken place which suggests a deal could happen this week.
However, the Belgian is still only 20-years-old and could well have a long and prosperous career at United ahead of him. One thing is for sure though, it won't be easy for the former Anderlecht academy player.
Januzaj would provide much needed competition to both Adam Johnson and Sebastian Larsson on the wing for Sunderland.
