Chelsea could announce deals for Rahman and Donsah despite Mourinho claims

Chelsea are on the verge of signing FC Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman and have already turned their attentions to his compatriot, Godfred Donsah.
Despite the fact that Jose Mourinho released a statement earlier today suggesting that the Blues’ activity in the summer transfer was done and dusted,  there could yet be two players arriving at Stamford Bridge in the coming days.

First and foremost there’s Rahman to focus on, whose transfer to west London is being finalised. The Ghana international has reportedly agreed terms with Chelsea, and once the financial side of things has been taken care of he’ll be announced as Mourinho’s latest capture.



That’s not necessarily news to any diehard Blues fans, who have been expecting a new left-back to be purchased after the decision to allow Filipe Luis to re-sign for Atletico Madrid earlier this summer.

There was tentative talk of a move for Tottenham’s Danny Rose that emerged yesterday, with Galatasaray’s Alex Telles also mentioned as a player who could challenge Cesar Azpilicueta for the left-back berth.
