Marc Rehmar has been charged following the bizarre incident at Denver International Airport in the United States earlier this month.
According to prosecutors, the 58-year-old ran onto the concourse in a bid to stop the departing flight on August 6.
He has now been charged with one count of endangering public transportation and one misdemeanor count of hindering transportation, Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney's Office, said in a statement.
The DA said Rehmar pushed open a secure emergency exit and ran onto the ramp area in a desperate bid to catch the Ohio-bound flight.
This set off an alarm, sending airport staff and police to the scene.
Rehmar has been released on a $10,000 bond and was due in court yesterday afternoon.
