Chelsea are ready to follow up the dramatic signing of Pedro by moving for Juventus star Paul Pogba.
The Blues are prepared to offer £60m to get the sought after midfielder with them prepared to sweeten the deal for the Old Lady by using either Juan Cuadrado or Oscar as bait, claim the Star.
Roman Abramovich has apparently given the green light to splash the cash after a stuttering start to the season that saw them hammered by Manchester City last weekend, who have shown their intent by making key recruits.
Chelsea, as well as landing Pedro from under the noses of red faced Manchester United, have also captured Baba Rahman, Asmir Begovic and Radamel Falcao but they are still believed to be lacking in defence and attack.
But Jose Mourinho still wants more and would see Pogba as a major coup with the France international seen as one of Europe’s best young midfielders since quitting United for Turin in 2012.
Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all said to have expressed an interest in signing Pogba, with the former two clubs reportedly having offers rejected.
