ANAMBRA RECORDS HER FIRST CASE OF COVID-19 (UPDATE)

COVID-19 and Indigenous Peoples | United Nations For Indigenous ...
Anambra state records her first case of COVID-19 yesterday the 10th of April, 2020. while most people debugs the report and says its not in Nigeria.

Trend 'N' Gist team got a report from a direct source indicating that the Covid-19 positive index patient in Anambra State, came back from UK to Lagos before the Airports were closed. He stayed in Lagos for a while, and was asymptomatic. He apparently developed symptoms during the lockdown, he somehow came into Anambra State from Lagos, despite the lockdown. He was said to have visited Regina Caeli hospital, Awka and treated for malaria, after which he was referred to St Joseph's Hospital, Adazi Nnukwu where he tested positive for Covid-19.

He has been picked up to be transferred to Onitsha  General Hospital, for isolation/quarantine. Contact tracing has commenced. But some of his family members have gone into hiding.

Stay safe, this is real, the HOD pharmacy in Amaku hospital,a good friend of ours called last night to inform trend 'n' gist the same thing. The patient just came in from Lagos two days ago.

An anonymous source said "A nurse raised alarm on Tuesday and called my husband. He called the epidemiologist and the patient lied about his travel history. They collected his sample and sent for test and the result came in this evening. Our people are wicked. If I say that they should allow him to die people will say it’s unchristian. But he has risked the lives of the doctors and nurses who have been treating him from Regina Caeli hospital Awka to St Joseph’s hospital Adazi."
Why are people wicked?

More updates coming as this is what the Tren 'N' Gist news team can gather at this point of the outbreak in Anambra State.
