The Game's Portland Concert Ends Abruptly After Gunfire

The Game has made himself a private enemy in Philly thanks to his lyrical friction with the likes of Meek Mill and his Dreamchasers camp but nothing appeared to be related to the situation last night (October 6) at Portland’s Roseland Theater in the Old Town Chinatown when a fight broke out and at least one gunshot was fired.

It is also worth noting that the veteran rap star had yet to take the stage as an opening act was performing at the time of the altercation.

Portland police tell The Oregonian that the shooting occurred around 10:35 p.m. but the good news is that no injuries as a result of gunfire nor evacuation of the building were reported. According to KGW’s Mike Benner, a single bullet hole was found in the stage. He also admitted that the crime scene was a very “fluid situation” and many of the show’s attendees lingered around in the aftermath.

The Gang Enforcement Team were reportedly acting on the suspicion that several “known gang associates” were attending the concert.

The concert was in conjunction with Game’s Block Wars Tour in support of his upcoming album, 1992. The opening acts were billed as local artists Bonaphied, Chez, Rob E and BJ The Voice and the concert’s promoter was listed as Bonaphied Entertainment.

As of yet, there have been no reports as to why the venue’s security failed to check a firearm at the point of entry.

And lucky for the unlucky Northwest rap fans, The Game is attempting to make the situation right by allowing them entry in his next show in Bend, Oregon.
