Lil Wayne Donates Skate Park To Kids

Lil Wayne spread the love to the kids in his hometown of New Orleans after his second Lil Weezyana Fest this year. He partnered with Southern California skate company OC Ramps to donate a skate park to the locals, according to AllHipHop.

At the event, Weezy had a pop-up skate park, courtesy of OC Ramps, while he performed with 2 Chainz, Mystikal and Migos. People flocked to the skate park along with pro skaters Dave Bachinsky, Jordan Hoffart, Tom Ryen and Christian Sereika.

The ramps were supposed to be broken down and shipped to California, but Wayne decided to keep them in New Orleans, especially after the floods ravaged the state of Louisiana, causing billions of dollars of damage.

“We figured this is the least we can do in a moment of crisis,” a spokesperson for OC Ramps said.  “We love skateboarding and we love the city of New Orleans. We have nothing but love for the skaters out there and hope they continue to enjoy the skate obstacles as long as possible.”

Lil Wayne also gave back to his city at the first Lil Weezyana Fest with proceeds going to Tha Carter Fund.

On the musical side, Tunechi is still embroiled in his legal battle with Birdman over the release of Tha Carter V, but did drop the track “Oh Lord” with Gucci Mane last week, a cut off the soundtrack for The Birth of a Nation.
