Manchester United gaffer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has given reasons for his side’s FA Cup 3-1 defeat against Leicester City on Sunday.
Solskjaer said Man United players didn’t have the spark against Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
According to him, the Red Devils tried against the Foxes but couldn’t get the right adrenaline boost against the host.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s brace and a strike from Youri Tielemans ensured Brendan Rodgers’s men knocked out Man United from the FA Cup.
“We did not have the spark tonight, but it is understandable. This team has been fantastic in the last three or four months,” Solskjaer told BBC Sport.
“Thursday night in Milan was a big night and took a lot of out of us physically. We did not have the extra zip, authority and confidence today.
“We tried to get on the front foot and start well. Sometimes you can get that adrenaline boost and confidence if you get a goal, and that can carry you over the line.”
