Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha has slammed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for keeping the news of the baby's arrival private.
The British actress joined Christine Lampard, Jane Moore, and Saira Khan on the TV show Loose Women to discuss the arrival of the royal baby. The panellists discussed whether or not the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already welcomed their newborn and complained about the annoyance of not knowing.
Then Nadia said the people deserve to know about the child's birth because "we paid for their wedding."
Jane started the conversation, saying: "I think she’s had the baby already. I’m just feeling a bit weary about this stage managing the publicity around. It’s not like we’re going to turn up at her house. They could just say, 'We’ve had the baby.' "
And Nadia replied: "We invested in their love story. We loved the wedding, we as a nation paid for the wedding. There are certain things that we as the people want to know and the birth of the baby is one of them."
Saira then added: "We are not American people. This is not America. We like our Royal Family and our Royal Family know how to treat us. We’ve had babies and we’ve welcomed them. We’re the public and we’re the people of this country and we understand they need their privacy and we respect that but just tell us, is it born or not?"
But web users have taken to Twitter to slam the women for claiming a right to the private lives of the royals.
