Watch Big K.R.I.T. freestyle over Slim Thug’s “Like A Boss” instrumental.
Big K.R.I.T. is currently out on a promo run for his brand new album 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time which debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 this week with 33,000 units sold. Having already visited various media publications across the land, including our very own HNHH HQ’s for a sit down interview last week (see below), Krizzle decided to make his way by the Real 92.3 station in L.A. where he joined host Bootleg Kev for a quick freestyle session, something we never get from the Missississippi rapper.
Going in over Slim Thug’s “Like A Boss” instrumental, K.R.I.T & his Southern slang deliver a short, braggadocios freestyle that finds him riding the pocket perfectly & dropping slick, metaphoric bars about his low riders whips, icy pinky, and bitches in the process. “Had my topped popped so much you thought I wouldnt need it/ I’m ballin for the season, please pinch me if I’m dreamin’/ Don’t wake me if Im sleeping don’t need lames in these ho/ Its getting kinda heavy with these old school doors Krizzle,” he spits.
By the looks it, it kinda seems like Krizzle had this freestyle memorized and it wasn’t truly “off the top,” but that doesn’t take anything away from what he said or his delivery. You can see why K.R.I.T. is considered one of the best emcees in the game based off his flow & wordplay here.
As previously mentioned, the freestyle surfaces just a week after K.R.I.T dropped off his latest album 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time, which featured guest appearances from T.I., UGK, CeeLo Green, as well as production by Mannie Fresh, Hey DJ, and DJ Khalil.
