Kevin De Bruyne says the Premier League's 'crazy' nature could cut Chelsea's title lead down in no time.
Chelsea hold a nine-point gap at the top going into the weekend and they are 10 points clear of De Bruyne and Manchester City.
City, with a 4-0 win at West Ham, were the only top-six team to gain ground this week and their playmaker has stressed it only takes three games to turn everything on its head.
Football can go a little crazy sometimes,' De Bruyne said. 'They (Chelsea) are far ahead but even if you lose three games and (we) win three games you are there. Three games is nothing.
'We just have to do our thing and not look at what Chelsea and the others are doing. If we win our games we will have a good place and, hopefully, the best possible.' City's patchy form has cost them in chasing Antonio Conte's pacesetters
But they produced one of the offensive performances of the season as De Bruyne, David Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Yaya Toure struck at the London Stadium.
And Pep Guardiola is now able to call on a fully fit squad, though, with even injury-hit Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph back in the first-team picture.
De Bruyne, 25, says that will help in trying to cut down his former club's lead.
Asked whether it was possible to catch Chelsea, he said: 'I don't know — we are going to try. In the Premier League you have to be there every week.
'All the injured players are coming back which I am very happy about as we have a lot of games with the league and Champions League.
'And we will need everyone. It will be very important to have series of wins to put pressure on the rest.'
