Chelsea sell Salah to AS Roma

Mohamed Salah has finally left Chelsea for good.

Mohamed Salah completes Roma move Chelsea have confirmed on Wednesday that 24-year-old Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah has finally left the club.

Salah moved to Stamford Bridge after after impressing at Swiss club Basel, however he never really settled in west London.

After just 13 Premier League appearances, he was sent out on loan to Fiorentina for the second half of last season.

Salah scored six goals in 16 Serie A appearances with the Viola, was provoked AS Roma into signing him on a season-long loan last season.

Now Roma have made that move concrete. The deal is thought to be worth €15 million. Chelsea confirm the move.

Mohamed Salah has completed a permanent transfer to Italian club Roma.

Chelsea Football Club thanks Mohamed for his service and wishes him well for the future.

Salah scored 14 league goals and set up another eight in 34 Serie A fixtures last term.

Roma finished the Serie A season in third in 2015-16, so they qualified for this season’s Champions League.
