Meghan Markle went into labour in the early hours of today, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting the arrival of their first child and royal fans are also waiting excitedly for the birth of the royal baby.
The baby, when born, will be seventh in line to the throne. The child will be the Queen’s eighth great-grandchild and Prince Charles’s fourth grandchild.
