Lonzo Ball Spotted Rocking BBB, Sparks Rumors Of Brand Restoration Erika Marie By Erika Marie April 16, 2019 04:21 167 Views 00 0 LaVar has made it clear that BBB isn't going anywhere. There are rumors that the future of the Ball family's Big Baller Brand is up in the air, but patriarch LaVar Ball claims that the brand is alive and well. According to him, the family is sticking together through their legal troubles that stem from former partner Alan Foster allegedly stealing $1.5 million from Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball. The controversy first broke earlier this year after news surfaced that Foster, a longtime family friend of the Balls, was sneaking cash from the NBA star's bank accounts. Now, Lonzo is tangled in a lawsuit with Foster, as he is suing his former business BBB co-founder for $2 million. This caused Lonzo's manager, Darren "DMo" Moore to issue a boycott of BBB. Moore even attempted to begin a "DumpUrMerch" hashtag campaign on social media by sharing a video of himself tossing his ZO2s into the garbage. In the days following, Lonzo got his BBB tattoo on his arm covered up. It made many believe that this all spelled out a wrap for the brand, especially now that the website that has been taken down. Yet, the troubles with BBB seem to be temporary, as it looks as if the website will be reinstated as it says "Opening Soon." Lonzo also was spotted walking through Los Angeles International Airport rocking his $200 BBB slides, so apparently, he wasn't riding the "DumpUrMerch" train. He did admit to ESPN last month that his team questioned him about whether or not his BBB sneaks were to blame for an injury, and the point guard said if need be, he'd make the switch to Nike when on the court. However, Lonzo owns the majority of BBB, so shutting everything down is most likely due to the investigation into financial dealings and to keep Foster from profiting from sales.
